New Silk Handkerchief

I have just finished printing a new edition of ten silk handkerchief's. These are two of them. Each hanky is hand dyed and printed a different colourway. I have really enjoyed working with silk and colour on these, using some printing techniques I haven't used so much of late. Anyway, they are all hand rolled and approx. 36x36cm. They are available for £25 each and a few are up on my shop, with more to follow. Otherwise contact me for details. A culmination of inspiration from a few brilliant exhibitions, my recent trip to Mexico and some beautiful old textiles.

Today my t-shirts were mentioned, albeit very briefly, on this blog http://leiterreports.typepad.com/ which, as verified by my brother, is a world famous philosophy site. An honor indeed.

A Hare in an Egg

And why not? Inspired by some rather wonderfully imaginative Easter postcards I found in Lucca, Italy last year this fellow has made his way onto a new silk cushion. As per, it is hand dyed and screen printed. It has a plain navy back and is 50x30cm. Available for £98. 

Field Work is open for business

Field Work opened this weekend and has already been a huge success. Thank you so much to everyone involved and all those that helped with the set up. Photographer Victoria Siddle came down on Saturday to take some shots and you can see a selection on her blog. I will post more images in the next few days. We are open the rest of this week until 7pm on Sunday 18th. Come down and see us at 54 Rivington Street. The Cosmonaut Cushions are hand dyed and screen printed on cotton using a total of 7 screens. Each portrait comes with a different print on the back. They are available individually for £120 each or as a set for £430. I will be launching these boys at Field Work Pop Up Shop which opens this Saturday 10th. Please contact me for further details.

The Astronomical Chart Print is also available in this colourway on plain cotton calico with a plain dyed back, either mustard yellow or dark green/grey. Cushion is 50x50cm. Available on my etsy shop for £85.

So tomorrow I fly to Mexico with my dear old chum Rose de Borman where I will be until 10th November. I will be checking emails when I can and my etsy shop will still be up and running thanks to a kind friend. I have recently put up a few new bits including this Bird on Branch wash bag.

Field Work no.3

Field Work, the Pop Up Shop I co-curate with fellow textile designer Rose de Borman returns this December just in time for all your Christmas shopping. We will both be launching a whole host of new work of our own, Rose has been producing some really very special silk cushions of late and a lot of my new stuff has gone rather space travel related. Expect the usual array of beautiful and well crafted goods and unusual objects, some of which will be coming from our forthcoming trip to Mexico. The shop, located at 54 Rivington Street, London, runs from the 10th - 18th December.  There is a daytime event on the 10th and an evening opening on the 15th. Put it in your diaries now.

The design shop and gallery Frank in Whitstable, Kent has started stocking a few of my wares, aptly including the Crab Tote Bag. I went to Whitstable for a day trip a few months ago with Alice Stevenson and thoroughly recommend it for a seaside jaunt especially if you enjoy a polystyrene tub of shellfish straight from the sea.
